Nestled in the center of this charming town, a place of cultural interest, the hotel is surrounded by small streets and only a few meters away from the popular historic center and the church, whose two blue-tiled domes constitute the emblem of this idyllic town.

The hotel offers majestic views flowing down to the sea, with the contrast of the ‘’Sierra de Bernia’’ mountains, the ‘’Sierra Helada Natural Park’’ and the ‘’Puig Campana’’.

This hotel is perfect to enjoy the charm of the old town with its lively church square, especially in summer.

One can also stroll on the Ocean Promenade along the two beautiful pebble beaches.

HISTORY

This company already exists since 1996 as a very successful restaurant serving regular customers, coming from far just for its refined gastronomy. Their clientele is formed mainly by regular customers and residents (mostly North Europeans) who reside on this beautiful area.

In 2018 the idea arose to expand the company into an intimate boutique hotel with a few rooms.

Given its ideal location in the middle of this beautiful artists’ town, they generate a 60% annual occupation.

REGION 

“Costa Blanca” is the name of the 200 km long coastline of the province of Alicante. We find wide sandy beaches as well as small coves and beautiful landscapes with palm groves, wetlands and several nature parks.

The hotel is situated in a town from costa blanca which belongs to the Alicante province and is just 55km away from the Province Capital. Flanked by the sea and the mountains, this bohemian town with 22.000 inhabitants is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. This is the perfect location as a summer vacation destination due to the perfect weather.

 

The hotel is located in one of the most typical towns on the Costa Blanca. Since the 1970s it has become an “art town” where many national and international artists have found their home. In this town one will find countless shops where these artists offer their works for sale.

HOTEL

Their Hostel / Restaurant is located in the historic center, but at the same time away from all the hustle and bustle during the summer months.

Situated in a beautiful park, with an arch covered by ivy, ideal to set  some  tables, they create an idyllic and romantic terrace for their clients.

During the months of July, August and September on Thursdays classical music concerts are held in the same Park.

The hotel is known for being an “only adults” establishment. This idea arose in order to create a peaceful, romantic and special environment.

It offers high cuisine and delicious breakfast served in their Mediterranean restaurant.

Despite being a 50 year old building,  numerous reformations and updates have been executed.

Both in terms of electricity and plumbing are completely new, also the restaurant’s kitchen is fully newly equipped.

The last work has been carried out between the months November 2019 and finished in March 2020. Transforming the house and half of the Restaurant into a small Hotel with high quality finishes. Both in the matter of materials used  as for the furniture (beds and mattresses) as well as for air conditioners and last generation solar panels. The building has been renovated with all current regulations, such as a special painting on the ceiling of the Restaurant to make it non-leaking.

The doors of the main entrance as well as annex, have electronic locks.

They also provide extreme personal service and special attention, free Wi-Fi and free parking along with lots of activities

RESTAURANT

Their restaurant is not only famous now, for quality and product, it was also famous before, in the 80s. Being a famous Restaurant for offering dinner with a show. It receives regular clients from the area, mainly foreign residents, as well as many national and international tourists who visit this region and want to sit on the most idyllic terrace in town.

Their haute cuisine is not intended to surprise gourmets looking for cutting edge techniques, or trendy garnishes. It simply strives to highlight quality products by precision cooking, seasoning, and sometimes mixing original flavors. In other words, they put their technique at the service of the product, not the other way around. If the customer has an intolerance to any food, they give them the option to tell them before their arrival or during the check in so they take it into account and be able to offer them other options. They dispose of a wine and spirits cellar with 100 references.

Their menu is on the smaller side but with the best quality foods, they have a complete  menu with drinks included for just 49 euros. They also give the customer a glass of cava as a welcoming gift to the restaurant.

On all restaurant review sites they reach a score of 4.5 out of 5 and receive many loving testimonials.

CLIENTS

Since the restaurant is only open in the evenings and with a rather expensive set menu, it aimed at a clientele of middle / upper class. The hotel management also aimed at this target group.

ACTIVITIES

This hotel offers a lot of activities such as golfing since it has its own golfing club. This establishment colabs with two local “holiday experience” providers that supply riding electric bikes, Segway, aquatic excursions, jet skiing and other nautical leisure since the hotel is located near the beach.

Of course, these are not the only activities. For the less active customers there is a choice of wine tasting at the local wine cellar and savoring beer produced near the hotel. There is also a massage and beauty spa center in the establishment that offer lots of different treatments.

WEDDINGS AND EVENTS

Currently, since the  change of activity – adding boutique hotel services- they did not organise big events again. However, on the  restaurant terrace, there is still the possibility of having a capacity of about 40 people, where they  have held weddings, birthdays with musicians, flamenco dancers and professional ham cutters. etc…

TURNOVER

Actually this restaurant + Hotel opens only 9 months a year!! During which it realizes a turnover about 400.000 euro. * view “expansion”

The advantage of this operation is that it requires very little staff and can be perfectly run by a family.

EXPANSION – GROWTH *

In order to higher the annual turnover a new owner could consider promoting some events such as

• or opening all year round since the weather conditions on the Costa Blanca welcomes tourists’ winter and summer
